CEMI news May 3rd, 2008 FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION IN EDUCATION

The Monitoring Center CEMI has, with the cooperation with the Civic Education Center, started the realization of "Fight against corruption in education" with the help of Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe sponsored by Germany.

High level of corruption in education is unavoidably causing the spread of it into other social spheres.
According to the latest researches of public opinion that were conducted in Montenegro, the trend of corruption increasement was notified and it was the most wanted one in high-educational institutions (faculties) .

Project "The fight against corruption in education" will last for eleven months and the activities that it will comprise of are : research of public opinion which will be done on 1300 students, university professors and employees in the faculty administration, building capacities of student organizations in the fight against the corruption in education, education of high school students and professors about corruption, the analyze of existing student files and making recommendations for their improvement, conference and printing publications with data's and proposals of solutions for successful fight against corruption in education.
