CEMI news May 27th, 2008 The seminar "Education of public officials about the conflict of interest"

The Monitoring Center will organize the seminar "Education of public officials about the conflict of interest" 28th May 2008. at the "Komovi" hotel in Andrijevica, with the cooperation of Commission for the Prevention Conflict of Interest. Seminar will be organized under the same named project, and the next one will b organized for representatives of the following Municipalities : Andrijevica, Plav, Berane i Rozaje.

The theme of the seminar is "The conflict of interest-legal regulation, prevention and resolving the conflict of interest". Seminar is planned as a sort of education of public officials (judges, prosecutors, members of Parliament, secretaries, presidents and vice presidents and Assemblies of Municipalities, directors of public advocacies and institutions, etc) about this problem, with active participation of attendants, in order to come to the solution of the conflict of interests. In the realization of the project participants will be representatives of all State structures on the local level, and also representatives of relevant institutions of the regional countries, as well as representatives of Directorate for Anticorruption Initiative have also been invited.
